Zion Park Food Deals: Margaritas and Hot Dogs
Zion National Park is in the boons. Closest town is Springdale, and stuff ain’t cheap. Natural Light, the 3.2 Utah version, was priced $29 for a 30-pack at the local grocery store, Sol Foods. We’d paid $8 for a twelver only a couple days before! We skipped the booze at Sol Foods and opted for lunch. Their chili dog is worth every penny ($4.99). My only suggestion: dry out the chili a bit, it sogs the bun.
Later at the State Liquor Store, as Mr. Abbey suggested, we took advantage of the state-controlled prices and grabbed a jug of pre-mixed Margaritas. Boy did an ice-cold Margarita hit the spot after our long days of hiking. Well, two of the days, at least. Stuff goes fast! Luckily, it’s $10.99 for the 1.75L bottle. Highly recommend this to those visiting. Just don’t forget the ice.
