My theory is that it’s the lack of water and the excess of dust that does it. The sky is just a different color out here — deeper, darker, richer. It’s tough to photograph, but I’ve tried. It could also be dehydration of the eyeballs. Whatever. I like it.

  • My brother in Seattle gave a perspective. He said because they have sop many trees, you really can’t see clear sky in any direction, but up. There is no mountain-connected-to-sky view, as even the mountains have green trees. So it ends up a different color/view. In Arizona, we have amazing sunsets probably because the lack of vegetation and other things between the horizon.

    • That’s got to be some of it. Maybe the tree green influences the color of the sky as well?
