Desert Sky Blue

My theory is that it’s the lack of water and the excess of dust that does it. The sky is just a different color out here — deeper, darker, richer. It’s tough to photograph, but I’ve tried. It could also be dehydration of the eyeballs. Whatever. I like it.

My brother in Seattle gave a perspective. He said because they have sop many trees, you really can’t see clear sky in any direction, but up. There is no mountain-connected-to-sky view, as even the mountains have green trees. So it ends up a different color/view. In Arizona, we have amazing sunsets probably because the lack of vegetation and other things between the horizon.
That’s got to be some of it. Maybe the tree green influences the color of the sky as well?
