We Almost Have a Kitchen, But We Still Have a Boat

We’ve made big progress on the kitchen front: we have new maple cabinets, working water shut-0ff valves, a working and installed microwave, stove, and refrigerator.  We’ve made minimal progress selling our Merit 25 sailboat.  We feel … closer.  But having your entire kitchen vomited into the rest of your home certainly doesn’t make it LOOK like you’re closer to moving.

Mentally, I think we’re starting to fatigue.  It’s a lot of work unwinding everything.  We’ve made numerous trips to the Salvation Army and the White Elephant.  I’m no longer thinking the boat will sell as a package — each part is going to start going to the highest bidder.  The engine will be first, followed by the sails.  I’m going to keep the battery for the van.  Everything will work out.
